Las Vegas, December 7, 2021 (Global News Agency)-Kaltech Co., Ltd., an innovator in the field of air and water purification and a leader in the field of chemical and system engineering in Japan, announced today that it will start selling it Air deodorants and American water filtration systems will debut at CES 2022, the world's largest consumer electronics show, in January 2022 in Las Vegas. Kaltech has developed the world's first product line using photocatalytic technology, and will dominate the Japanese photocatalytic air purifier industry with a 40% market share in 2020.

Kaltech air purifiers include wearable suspended "MyAir", wall-mounted, floor-standing and vehicle-mounted "DriveAir". Unlike traditional HEPA filters (physical absorption) used in ordinary air purifiers, Kaltech's photocatalytic filters absorb and decompose tiny bacteria and viruses in the air. The viruses and bacteria collected by the HEPA filter may survive in the filter and cannot decompose odors. Kaltech's photocatalytic filter uses the powerful oxidation ability of visible LED light and their proprietary photocatalyst technology to immediately decompose viruses, bacteria and odors to create clean air.

Kaltech founder and CEO Junichi Somei said: "We are very happy to start selling in the US market and show users the benefits of our products that have been very successful in Japan." "We showed at CES because we believe in what we provide. Innovation should be used in every home and elsewhere."

Somei has a broad background in science and photocatalyst research. He has been studying them since the beginning of university and obtained a master's degree in chemical engineering. He has worked for Sharp Corporation in Japan for 30 years, focusing on satellite communications, LED lighting, IoT sensors, etc. After leaving Sharp, he established KALTECH in 2018 and became the first president and representative.

The photocatalytic technology found in Kaltech products has been clinically proven to remove various viruses and bacteria at a higher speed. It is worth noting that due to the installation in several rooms of the infectious disease ward of Nihon University Itabashi Hospital, the number of infectious disease patients in January 2021 will be significantly reduced.

Through the joint research of Kaltech, RIKEN and Nihon University School of Medicine, Kaltech’s photocatalytic technology has been proven effective against airborne SARS-CoV-2. In experiments in a fixed space, the infectivity of SARS-CoV-2 was reduced by 99.9% in about 20 minutes. It was also discovered for the first time that the active oxygen produced by the photocatalyst may contribute to the degradation of the S protein on the surface of the virus particle, the destruction of the virus membrane and the destruction of the virus RNA.

"Our technology is safe and reliable, does not produce ozone, chlorine and other toxic substances, is maintenance-free, does not need to replace the filter, is convenient to use, and is family-friendly." Somei said. "It's also quiet at night, so people can sleep comfortably because the air around them is clean."

Kaltech plans to expand its photocatalytic technology product lineup, including fresh-keeping boxes that prevent bread and fruit from forming mold outside the refrigerator, moisturizing humidifiers, and a series of commercial products.

Kaltech will showcase its new product lineup at CES 2022 at the Venetian Expo in Las Vegas (formerly Sands) from January 5th to 8th. Booth number is 51144. The lineup includes space sterilization and deodorant, as well as demonstrations of water purification and hydrogen production using Kaltech's environmentally friendly technology, which recycles glass fibers and waste from collected glass bottles to make filters that purify air and water.

Availability Devices will be sold at multiple retailers including Amazon and Home Depot, and will be available in early 2022.

About Kaltech Co., Ltd., a Japanese venture company that develops and sells products equipped with the company's proprietary photocatalytic technology, which can decompose viruses and odors. The company was established in February 2018 by an engineer from a large electrical equipment manufacturer. The company's philosophy is "Let everyone in the world enjoy the benefits of photocatalyst". The company currently sells its own-brand air purifiers and deodorants nationwide, which are suitable for Japanese households, restaurants, hospitals and public facilities, with Japanese-made quality.
